Anthropic really dropped Opus 4.7 like, “here’s the best model you can buy”… and then same breath: “btw we have Mythos, it’s better, it’s real, and you gremlins can’t touch it.”
This is Apple saying “Here’s the iPhone 16” and then quietly adding, “we also have an iPhone 20 but it keeps accidentally hacking JPMorgan so you can’t have that.”

- Anthropic: Opus 4.7 cooks GPT-5.4 and Gemini 3.1 Pro on agentic coding, tool use, and finance. /ultrareview is basically “summon a senior engineer to bully your PRD.” Vision buffed, pricing unchanged. W.
- Mythos: Finds thousands of zero-days, can allegedly crack major banks. Too cursed for public release. Ultra W but benched.
- OpenAI: Timeline is bracing for @sama’s “ok that’s cute” GPT-5.5 moment.
- Google: Gemini 3.1 Pro sitting there like “we have vibes?” Now officially mid on agents. Third place, participation trophy energy.
The Bloomberg headline “How Anthropic Discovered Mythos AI Was Too Dangerous For Release” is Oscar-worthy marketing. That’s not a red-team report, that’s a movie trailer.
And the Project Glasswing rollout? Anthropic role-playing as NATO. “We will only give the nuke codes to critical infra partners and a few open-source defenders.” Briefing the Trump admin before launch is insane lore. We are in Season 5 of Silicon Valley and no one told the writers’ room.
